Our Environment on Mind-Map

Today we revised a Mind-Map about our project we did in term 1, about problems in our community. Our group did waterways and our problem was the Tamaki College rain garden and how bad things were in there. Our solution was to clean our rain garden so that the birds won't die while flying there.  There are big problems such as parks and public spaces, culture, recycling, houses, healthy food and our one was waterways.  When we were cleaning our Tamaki College rain garden we saw heaps of dirty rubbish and bad vines so our deputy principal told our group to clean the bad stuff and showed us the bad vines to pull out and to also cut the bad vines.  This is a big problem because we need to protect our local waterway.  We need all rain gardens around the world to keep safe. Our rain garden was once dirty and polluted until us heroes were there to save our Tamaki College rain garden. Our weed tree called a privet that was growing wildly and us people had to fix it up. So our rain garden is now nice and healthy and we'll be there to keep it healthy.

This photo is what i did on Mind-Map.

Animal Jammers

My Name is Isacc and Our group is called Animal Jammers.

We believe in Animal Rights and That we should be treating Animal as our parents treat us kids. Animal are like humans just Different and that like us humans have family just like Animals do. Yes we need meat from animals but some animals are gentle and don't want harm unlike some animals they hunt for prey and they kill and rip out blood out of other animals and maybe humans but ' their life style just like or life style, just we don't hunt.

Animals are nice and kindly(well some of them). Our group cares about animals and as we walk to school or back home we see dogs/cats roaming around the streets with no caregivers and i think to myself that why give animals to people if they don't care for it. We need to care for animals so like loved ones and one thing i learnt from Our English teacher is to Be kind to one another.

From Tokelau to New Zealand

In social Studies today we learnt the problems in Tokelau and we read this story about "what was life like in Tokelau"
We also summarised a story about the 6 words we chose and wrote a short paragraph
Here was my summarise:

People migrated from Tokelau to NZ so they can have a good education.
Education is very important to them because they need money for food and more.
The climate for tokelau was good in tokelau but then when they moved to NZ it was too cold for them.
In Tokelau everyone worked together to harvest crops and food for the winter.
The population for Tokelau and their working mens was obliged because of the remaining men working in toke lau and the opportunities for Tokelauans was very poor.

Sitting Exams

When i first started my first exams it was so challenging and i needed more time to get ready, but today was the day there was no going back.I was so nervous and i never wanted to do it.
I had my device ready,i was settled down nicely and waited for the exam to start.
My first exam was maths and i never liked maths.
Maths was my second hardest exam. The subject i think i did well in was English and the subject i know i did bad in was science. The thing i could do better next time was to pay attention in class and do unfinished work and not be distracted. If only i had listened to the teacher and do my work or even ask for homework so i can be finished.Next time i will do all these things and try to make my learning better and get high marks.
